How to overcome Disappointment with Bach Flower Remedies

Life was not meant to be this hard!
In the last 9 months we've had a lot of anxiety, fear and sorrow thrown at us.  And its really difficult to deal with.  In the trauma and chaos of the Covid pandemic, some have even lost hope.

Fortunately, (for me, and maybe for you too) I know about, and use, the Bach Flower Remedies.  In case you 're new to Bach Flower Remedies, they are a natrual way of healing unwanted distructive feelings, simply and naturally.  And I have used the remedies to help me navigate the ups and downs of living with regulations that restrict our freedom.

Life has been hit hard the UK.  As of yesterday, we’re having to deal with a huge change.  The Covid Virus has now mutated and become a new virus.  This has resulted in a colossal change in the restrictions.  It means that millions will not be able to be with their loved ones over Christmas.

This news was sprung on me last night and I was shocked, bitterly disappointed and upset.  Have the new UK Tier 4 restrictions affected you too?  Or have you been in a severe lock-down for a while? I immediately reached for Rescue Remedy and Gentian to help me.
Which remedy did you reach for?

If you’re not familiar with the Bach Remedies, these free Guides will help you select the best remedies to help you.

Huge change is on its way
Tomorrow, 21st December is the solstice.  This is the time when the earth has reached it furthest point from the sun before it starts to return. The solstice is the beginning of the change of seasons.
At the moment, you’re either living through the winter solstice or the summer solstice. This is the day of the shortest day and longest night – or in the southern hemisphere, the longest day and the shortest night.

The solstice brings change – whether we like it or not!
And, all of us in the UK, are not liking the new Christmas restrictions.  And if you’re dealing with similar feelings of disappointment and sadness too, then here are some remedies to help you through it.

And, all of us in the UK are not liking the new Christmas restrictions.  And if you’re dealing with similar feelings of disappointment and sadness too, then here are some remedies to help you through it.

Bach Flower Remedies to help with disappointment

Rescue Remedy

This will help with the shock of a radical change and also heal your sadness. And it will help stop the seemingly uncontrollable flow of unwanted thoughts from pouring into your mind.   Rescue Remedy also contains Rock Rose the remedy for extreme anxiety and fear.

Gentian

This is a brilliant remedy for when we are discouraged and disappointed as a result of a set-back.  The Covid virus has certainly been a set back for us all. But now, with this latest blow in the UK, this is a huge set-back for millions, and some have lost hope.

Gorse

Gorse is the remedy of hope.  If there is one thing that is going to see us through this pandemic it’s our dreams of a better life – and hope.  Hope is the agent of change.  We’re starting a new year and a new life soon.  We never start anything new without hope in our hearts.  And we all need hope now.  So, if you’re feeling hopeless about the future, Gorse will soon have you back on track.

Walnut

Walnut. And talking of change, Walnut is the remedy that helps us ‘let go’ of something we’re holding on to (for whatever reason). It helps us cut the ties so we can move on to the freedom of living without the burdens of the past.

Larch

Larch is the confidence remedy. After so long in lock-down and for many, months of solation has sapped their confidence.  We need confidence and courage to see us through the next months.

Mimulus

Mimulus is the remedy for known anxieties.  If you're anxious about health or your work - or lack of it.  If you know what you're worried about, then Mimulus will help.

Red Chestnut

Red Chesnut is for worry and anxiety about your loved ones.  It's for when you have stopped worrying about yourself and have become very anxious about your loved ones.

White Chestnut

White Chestnut will  stop the hamster-wheel of thoughts that keep going around and around, and you never get anywhere.
This remedy will help stop the worrying conversation you're constantly having with yourself.

We’ve all been knocked off kilter this year, some more than others, and so I think taking the Bach Flower Remedies to help you feel better soon, is a good idea.

Although I’ve mentioned 8 remedies, its advisable to mix only 6 together at one time.  And if  you’re unsure how to take remedies, click here to discover the most effective ways to take the remedies.  All work well, one way is not better than the other.

As always, I love to hear from you.

I hope the blog and the remedies can help you get back on track again.  But if not, please get in touch.  Leave your comments and questions in the box below, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.  I always answer your comments and emails personally.

I had requested the guide and given my information for postage, but it has never arrived. Which bit didn’t happen?

    • Rose Todd says:

Hello Susan. Thank you for getting in touch. And I’m sorry about the Guides.
I haven’t received your order for them. Perhaps it didn’t go through?
I’ve sent you a personal email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • VIRGINIA LAVUNDI says:

THANK YOU ROSE. HAVE USED BACH FLOWER REMEDIES WITHOUT DIRECTION. YOUR GUIDE WOULD HELP. WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE DROPS?

    • Rose Todd says:

Hello Virgina. It’s a pleausre. I’m glad to help.
The shelf life of the remedies is almost indefinite. The essences itself is carried in water. However water goes off, and therefore brandy is add by the manufacturer to preserve the water. Because of the brandy, the remedies don’t have a shelf-life. Brandy does not go ‘off’.
However in our modern day we all want to know about the shelf life of products, so a date is put on the remedies. But I have remedies that are beyond their shelf-life and they still work.
I hope this is helpful and you continue to enjoy using the remedies. Take care and stay safe. Rose.

      • Marlene says:

        Hi Rose
I still have my original stocks from 1980 (before the use by date was mandated) and they still work fine. 😊

        • Rose Todd says:

Hellp Marlene. Thank you for your comment. I’m glad you’ve found the remedies still work even when they are ‘beyond the sell-by date’. I’ve found it too.
The remedies are preserved in brandy – which never goes ‘off’. So the remedies are fine, right until the very last drop!
          Keep up the good work.
          Warm wishes Rose.

    • Rose Todd says:

Hello Gail. Thank you for leaving a Comment. I agree, sometimes its difficult for us to see through the intensity of our own pain, to be able to choose which remedies will suit us best.
We never have one emotion at a time, there is always a cluster of them, all mixed up together.
So thats why there is a suggest a selection of remedies in the blog.
You’ve mentioned one other feeling – hopeless – so I would look at your disappointment and see if its covered by Gentian, or if you need Gorse or perhaps Sweet Chestnut. And I think you’ll probably need Star of Bethlehem too. (Disapoiintment always travels with sadness).
I hope this is helpful. We both know the remedies work. If these suggestions don’t help get in touch with me via my email. [email protected]

  • David says:

Which remedy combination should we used if someone gesture make us angry and after that we feel down and carry it for a few days and cant get rid off this feeling even if we want to be good mood again?

    • Rose Todd says:

Hello David. Thank you for your question.
You need to heal your feeings of anger as that will stop you feeling down afterwards.
I recommend you take Holly for anger. Beech is another anger remedy. This is the remedy for when the habits or characteristics of other makes us angry. (As you mentioned happens to you).
Put 2 drops of each in a glass of water, and sip it frequently throughout the day – and maybe tomorrow too, if you still need it.
I hope this is helpful. Warm wishes Rose.
