Not enough for Christmas

Not Enough for Christmas?

Christmas is one of the most stressful times of the year, so how do you feel about Christmas?
If you could name your main concern about Christmas, what would it be?  A young friend of mine said “Not enough. Just not enough for Christmas”

Experiencing failure doesn’t mean you’re a failure.

Not enough-failute-guilt

When I asked her what she meant by “not enough for Christmas” she replied …
“Not enough money
Not enough shopping – I didn’t get the right presents for my loved ones
Not enough time to do all that I know I should do
Not enough time to do all that I need to do…
I’m not enough!
I feel guilty I can’t do Christmas properly!”

The words just poured out of her with so much feeling, hurt with desparation.  She believed that she was ‘not enough for Christmas’.

These kind of thoughts come from feeling unworthy and feeling inferior.  We undermine ourselves with our negative self-image and self-talk all the time.  Our conversation with ourselves is the longest conversation of all!  And why?
Because we’ve have such high expectations of ourselves. We expect much more from ourselves than we expect from others.

Faulty goals – disappointing results

Not enough-disappointing results

When you set yourself high standards – unrealistically high standards – you’re setting yourself up to take a fall. If you’re not already aware that you’e living in ‘guilt’ – you soon will see that you’re rushing headlong into guilt!

I’m afraid feeling guilty is one of those feelings that seem to multiply faster than rabbits!  Within seconds ‘oh I shouldn’t have done that’ escalates into a flood of similar thoughts and you begin to feel that you’ll never do anything right – so why bother to try.  And so you don’t!

Have you noticed, that no matter how hard you try, you always feel as if you should have done better?

If so, then be kind to yourself – reach for the Bach Flower Remedy Pine.  It’s a fast way to dissolve your feelings of guilt…

Be kind to yourself

Here’s a short video that gives you some of the Pine feelings.  If you have even one of these feelings, then Pine is the remedy to help you feel better and to help you have a wonderful Christmas!

Short Video on Pine

Put 2 drops of the remedy into a small glass of water and sip it frequently.  Frequency is more important than quantity.

Here’s a closing thought that helps me a lot… there are only 24 hours in a day and so you can only do what you can do.   Don’t focus on what you haven’t done – be pleased with what you have achieved!

Over to you…

As always, I love to hear from you, so please leave your comments.
